Christians at Work
We're here to show you God through us.
Christians at Work is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping others. We strive to show you God's love, power, and endless mercy and grace. Our motto is, "We're here to show you God through us."
As a team, we work to bring God’s love into the lives of people. We have a prayer team that prays for your needs everyday.
The money we earn goes to saving for Christians at Work mission trips, Christian summer day camps, helping kids have a good education, helping with food and water shortage in other countries, and helping others learn to take care of themselves.
We have started spreading God's love in other countries, and are working on growing our ministry throughout the world.
If you have comments, questions, suggestions, or prayer requests, we ask that you email us at: christians.at.work.caw@gmail.com. We’ll try to get back to you within 1-3 days. (Not including Sundays.) Thanks!
Christians at Work ✞
We're here to show you God through us.
Christians at Work is an organization that does multiple different services for God by helping others. One of those is helping to send a family and some friends to the small, developing country in Central America called Belize. Belize first became a country on September 21, 1981.
In 2014, a family of six from a tiny town in New Mexico felt God leading them to go somewhere to share the Gospel. The parents considered many different countries, such as Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. But with four young kids, they needed somewhere that they felt was appropriate to take them.
One day the parents started talking with a lady who had been to a lot of different countries to serve God. She recommended the tiny country of Belize, and even helped them get contacted to some people who owned a base camp in Belize. By the time 2015 rolled around, the family had found fundraisers and all the necessary preparations for the trip. That February the family flew to Belize city. While they were there they enjoyed the opportunities to get to share God's light through visiting an orphaned/abused girl's home, helping at an after-school lunch program, that was put on for around 30 kids who would otherwise not get a meal that day, and such. While there the family got to enjoy the rarity of seeing the ocean, plants, and animals that they had never seen before. It was truly a blessing to get the opportunity go there.
Two years later, in December 2017, the same family was blessed with another opportunity to get to go to Belize again. This time they were able to have another family and a college friend join them for the life-changing experience. While there the group visited the girls home, and was able to help build raised beds to help them grow their own food. They also put on a week-long Vacation Bible School for the kids in the village. On the first day, they had around 15 kids from ages 3 to 14. On the last day they had up to 70 kids with kids from newborn babies to teenagers who were up to 17! It was a true blessing from God to have so many kids with the desire to learn more about their Creator.
Because of the inability to afford them, Christmas presents are not generally given to children over the age of 10-12, and it is a rarity for young kids to get Christmas presents at all. So while the group was there, they had brought some Christmas gifts to put in stockings and give to the kids who otherwise would not have gotten anything for Christmas that year. The presents included your usual Christmas gifts, but there were also items such as soap, combs, and everyday necessities. The group also gave them soccer balls and bubbles, which are favorites of the Belizean kids.
The two trips to Belize have been a huge blessing, and the family sees the changes the trip made in their everyday lives. Please pray for the children of Belize and their families. Pray for the growth and development of the country, and that as a whole they would turn to God. Pray for the government and the decisions made. Pray that the country would get good doctors and hospitals and all of the basic health care systems needed.
Prayer is strong, and can change lives.
We appreciate your support, prayers, and time. If you would like more information about Belize, or would like to donate to help with this family's mission, please contact christians.at.work.caw@gmail.com. Thank you!
